The new year slowly unfolds.
remnants of my spirit will always linger—
now these new pages await to be written
my pen I can’t find, journal buried in books
though, through my spirit, it calls to me instead—
this year I won’t wither.
with 12 new chapters,
these ones I softly surrender.
